Knowing what recharges you (or drains you) can be lifechanging. This blog post and feature for Rapport magazine has self care ideas to help you set better boundaries for your unique energy needs

Introverts know they need time and space alone. This is how they recharge. Even when they love people and come off as highly sociable, they get their energy from quiet time.

Susan Cain’s beautiful book, Quiet is a beautiful exploration of how our society is stacked against amazing introverts and how to rebalance.

Self compassion is ALWAYS so important

I used to feel like I lived inside an endless tug of war. I knew how LUCKY I was in so many ways yet living alone in lockdown was a challenge.

When I embraced my inner ambivert, I was able to better understand why I needed and didn’t want both.

Too peopley!

Not enough people!

Just right.

What do you think you are?

What simple changes might you make to honour this about yourself?

It could be as simple as:

INTROVERT ~ Blocking out some time for yourself each day (or maybe smaller chunks throughout the day) to recharge.

EXTRAVERT ~ Scheduling in REGULAR time with your favorite people and strangers.

AMBIVERT ~ Creating space for your whole self. Making time for yourself AND to be sociable.

Whatever you are, recognising that there’s more to you (psychosynthesis link) than ANY label and being kind to yourself whatever your mood.

What are you going to do today to better support your inner introvert, extravert or ambivert?
